Hello! Long time no see! For these of you who were wondering what I was doing all this time, here is the answer. A month ago, I went to Copenhagen to visit my dearest friend and totally fell in love with (the city, of course) what they call: Kanelsnegle, cinnamon rolls in english. Goey, sweet and delicious rolls that are covered with cinnamon and frosting, sugar or glaze. When warm, just out of the oven, they are the perfect comfort food in the world. As I cannot allow myself to go to Copenhagen every time I want some, I've decided to make my own. But when I discover the recipe, full of better and sugar I almost die in front of my computer. Therefore, I've decided to create a recipe that could be healthier, easier, faster and more practical to make: a cinnamon roll in a smoothie! I'm always looking for new smoothie recipe to brighten my morning and I though that this one could remind me a bit of my trip to Copenhagen. In order to give you a hint of what my mornings look like, here is a little video on how to make this wonderful smoothie, full of energy and super ingredients.
Recipe for one:
- 1 Banana
- 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
- 1 big tablespoon of almond butter
- 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon of nutmeg
- 1 big cup of almond milk
- 1 teaspoon of maca powder
- 1 vanilla bean
- Topping: a pinch of cinnamon and 3 or 4 almonds
- Pour all the ingredients in your blender and mix until reaching the right consistency.
