G Detox Juice
French - There are mornings when I got woke up by my cell phone ringing. On the phone, it's a modern-day Hippie Rock & Roll kind of guy who always wants to take his breakfast with me. As I really like breakfast and my friend too, he is always more than welcome to share my miamôfruits. But the thing I love when he comes is that he always brings many fruits and veggies with him to make a juice, and this is his favorite:
Pineapple Pear Cucumber Fennel Parsley Ginger & Lemon
Pineapple is full of vitamin B, C, potassium and is a natural anti-oxidant. It also helps boosting your body’s immune system, regulate your body's blood sugar and help improving the quality and elasticity of your skin.
Pears contain pectin which acts as both a diuretic and mild laxative, and contributes to lowering cholesterol. Pears also contain a high level of boron, which aids to preserve calcium in the body and to prevent osteoporosis.
Cucumber contains vitamins A, C and K, chlorophyll and potassium which boost the quality of your skin, nails, and hair. It is also full of water which helps flushing out toxins from your body. Use on a regular basis, cucumber is known to dissolve kidney stones.
Fennel has good amount of soluble fiber which is beneficial help removing cholesterol from the body. It also has an amazing calming effect on the digestion and reduces intestinal cramps or bloating.
Parsley is antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and anti-oxydant, it is also a great source of vitamin C and beta-carotene (pro-vitamin A) which help to prevent and heal anemia, infection, kidney health, oxidative damage and stress.
Ginger is very good to increase your immunity level by fighting the growth of bacteria and boosting your ability to fight infection and disease. It also works to neutralize stomach acid and increase the secretion of digestive enzymes in the stomach.
Lemon helps you lose weight because it contains pectin and soluble fiber that have been proven to aid in weight lose struggle. It also helps to eliminate waste more quickly from your body.
Recipe for 2 big glasses:
- 1/2 Pineapple
- 1 Pear
- 1 big cucumber or 2 baby cucumbers
- 1 Fennel
- 6 branches of parsley
- 10 grams of ginger
- 1 lemon
- 6 ice cubes
